Amber grew up on the Windward Side of Oʻahu, and is a graduate of Kamehameha Schools and the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa where she received her degree in accounting.
Her husband, Nashua, also grew up on the Windward Side and also is a graduate of Kamehameha Schools and the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa. Oddly enough, they met at Starbucks. And the rest, as they say, is history.
Amber began her career in public accounting, specializing in tax. After eight years of grueling tax seasons and many billable hours, she joined Kamehameha Schools as a Financial Reporting Analyst where she realized, there is life after public accounting. A Certified Public Accountant currently licensed for public practice, Amber has no plans of returning "to the dark side."
Prior to motherhood, Amber spent all of her free time training for and competing in long-distance triathlons. Crossing the Kona Ironman finish line alongside her brother is her favorite triathlon memory. She continues to live vicariously through her training friends, as she has little-to-no free time these days with a toddler and infant.
