Kukuna began her journey with the Trust as a social worker at the Kona kīpuka in July 2011.
In March 2014 she began working at the Hilo kīpuka and works on the Puna/Ka’u geographical team. Now she is blessed to be able to spend more time with her two daughters and grandson, and to serve the Queen by working in the community of Olaʻa where she grew up and spent most of her life. Whenever she has a free minute, Kukuna loves to be outdoors, whether it’s at the beach, the river, hiking to beautiful places, riding quads, off-roading or just enjoying the scenery. She is also very passionate in supporting movements to hoʻomau and holomua lāhui Hawai‘i.
