Meagan was born and raised in Kaimukī on Oʻahu and graduated from Kalani High School.
She went through quite a culture shock moving to Pullman, Washington, where she completed her undergraduate degree in Business Administration, Accounting at Washington State University (go Cougs!). Apparently eastern Washington wasn’t too bad: she stayed in the region and got her Masters in Accounting at Gonzaga University.
Family and friends drew Meagan and her husband back home after college. Being a “grown up” started in public accounting at KMH, where Meagan had many learning opportunities auditing various non-profits, government agencies and construction/development clients. After KMH, she got to see the endowment side of the house working as the Finance Manager at the Liliʻuokalani Trust office. She moved to MW Group, Ltd. to expand her knowledge in property management and development, before returning to the Trust in her current role as Fiscal Manager for the Children’s Center.
The biggest accomplishment of her life was in 2015 when her son, Curran, was born. Meagan and her husband enjoy spending every waking moment with him and trying to maintain some sanity enjoying the outdoors on the weekends.
Meagan is a Certified Public Accountant, not in public practice, and a Chartered Global Management Accountant. She is also a member of the HSCPA and AICPA.
