Mercedes Lanza As chief administrative officer, Mercedes is responsible for the day-to-day leadership of LT's high-functioning information technology, people operations, organizational development, communications, office administration and risk management teams. She plays an essential role in curating a distinct, thriving, exponentially changing organization, and serves as a thought partner to the CEO and executive team.Mercedes joined LT in December 2016 as its chief people officer, bringing 15+ years of human resources expertise with her. She was promoted to her current position in July 2019.Mercedes is passionate about cultivating a culture in which LT’s most critical resources – its teammates – can work, prosper and thrive.Prior to LT, Mercedes served as the director of human resources for University Health Partners of Hawaii, an affiliate of the John A. Burns School of Medicine.Mercedes received a bachelors degree and graduate degree work in Public Administration and Human Resources Management from the University of Central Florida. She currently serves as a member of the SHRM Hawaii Workforce Development Committee, and is a SHRM Senior Certified Professional.In her spare time, Mercedes enjoys training with her friends at the gym (a real stress reliever), going to the beach surfing and boogie boarding with her husband, and boogie boarding with her three dogs – who have their own boogie boards! She loves snowboarding, traveling, and just relaxing.
