Nicole Smith With over eight years in Learning & Organizational Development, Nicole is honored to bring her experience and skills to work for LT and its noble mission of serving Hawaiian kamaliʻi.Nicole earned her Master’s of Education in Training & Development from Pennsylvania State University, is a DiSC Certified Trainer and ELI Certified Instructor of Civil Treatment, and enjoys staying active with the Association of Talent Development Hawaiʻi chapter.Born into a Marine Corps family that moved constantly while she was growing up, Nicole is actually from “everywhere but nowhere in particular.” She moved to Hawaiʻi as an adult where she fell in love with the culture, natural beauty, and ocean lifestyle. Living here in the islands for 9 years, Hawaiʻi has become her chosen hometown. In her free time, Nicole sniffs out exciting adventures close to home and even abroad when the wallet allows. On the weekends, she standup surfs (not that well) and trail runs when the mud isn’t too deep. Always looking to check off the Hawaiʻi bucket list, so far she’s parasailed, ziplined, skydived, swam with sharks (no cage), and gone on a lava boat tour when the lava was flowing into the ocean. Mastering freediving is next on the “to-do” list.A passion for the unusual also takes her outside of the islands to try mundane events such as ultramarathons in New Zealand and catching alligators in the geothermal springs of Colorado. Always in search of the next big escapade, be sure to let her know if you have the inside scoop on an epic adventure!
