Kaʻohi grew up playing on the beaches and hills of her hometown of Kaʻelepulu, Kailua. Hula, the ocean, and ʻohana shaped her childhood.  While holding steadfast to her hula roots, Kaʻohi studied dance and theatre throughout high school and college, which led to a career in performing arts in NYC and Europe.

Returning home, Kaʻohi adventured into arts education, serving as a teaching artist of dance and performance to keiki, ʻōpio, and makua. Most of her teaching career was devoted to children and families at an independent school of the arts in Honolulu, where she honed her craft and developed a passion for creating and producing interdisciplinary projects and programs.

Kaʻohi holds a Bachelor's of Education degree in Secondary English and a Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis in Leadership. A certified yoga instructor, Kaʻohi enjoys incorporating hula, yoga, and dance practices to promote wellness and healing through movement and stillness. Kaʻohi finds joy in being creative and working alongside colleagues to achieve a common goal and spending time with her ʻohana.

Kaʻohi is honored to be a part of the LT ʻohana and is humbled to serve our Mōʻi wāhine and kamaliʻi.
