“The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in service to others.” Mahatma Gandhi
Raised on the island of Maui, Kristy is excited and deeply humbled to serve our Hawaiian community and youth. Prior to coming to the Liliʻuokalani Trust, she was a public school teacher at a high school on Maui and enjoyed every moment of it. Kristy has her Bachelor of Art in Public Administration and a Certificate in Disaster Preparedness and Emergency Management from the University of Hawaii, West Oahu. Kristy completed the Kahoʻiwai Teacher Certification program to earn her Hawaiʻi Teaching Licensure.
Her pride and joy is being a parent of two college-aged daughters and a middleschool-aged son. She enjoys spending time watching her daughter play college volleyball, watching her son play soccer, and spending time with her fiance Troy. Kristy also loves going to the beach to relax and reflect on life.
At the end of the day, Kristy takes pride in quality and hard work in service to others and knows that working for the Liliʻuokalani Trust is a blessing and purposeful work.
