Laetitia Kealakukui Mahoney
Kukui was born on O'ahu and raised in Pangasinan, Phillipines. She also spent some time in Las Vegas and now lives in Kahalu'u, O'ahu.
Kukui considers herself a unique person by growing up in the different communities that allowed her to become who she is. Phillippines taught her the simplicity of life, by being a child free to roam around and explore the unexplored areas. Las Vegas taught her to be confident, by holding her first spray can and exploring the graffiti culture. And lastly, Hawai'i connects her back to her piko (center) that helps her have a sense of self identity.
Kukui graduated from Roosevelt High School in 2015 and currently attends Windward Community College in Hawaiian Studies. She hope to go to a University to get her B.A in art therapy. Kukui gives much thanks to 808 Urban, a community organization that she's been involved with since freshmen year in high school, which creates cultural murals with communities. At 808 Urban, Kukui has explored being a team leader, community outreacher and her vast creativity that she would love to share with the ‘ohana of Liliʻuokalani Trust.
