HONOLULU / AUGUST 18, 2020 – Alan Arakawa joins Liliʻuokalani Trust (LT) as its Vice President, Real Estate to oversee LT’s endowment real estate assets located within the state of Hawaii.
Arakawa brings with him 30+ years of experience in a range of real estate development activities in the Hawaii market, including master planning, entitlements, engineering, land development and sales, homebuilding, and construction. He has served for over 28 years in leadership roles at Hawaii real estate companies during reorganizations and operational transitions.
Arakawa previously held positions at D.R. Horton as the Senior Vice President, Planning & Acquisitions, and at A&B Properties Hawaii LLC as Senior Vice President, Development. Prior to A&B, Arakawa was President at Waiawa Ridge Development LLC, and Executive Vice President, Residential Operations at Castle & Cooke Homes Hawaii, Inc.
He received his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering and his Master of Business Administration from the University of Hawaii at Mānoa. He is a past member of the University of Hawaii Foundation Board of Trustees, Real Estate Committee Chair, and was a board member of the Building Industry Association of Hawaii.
