Michael joined the Trust in January 2015. His role at the Trust will be to focus on its development activities, in particular the Keahuolū master planning efforts.
Michael was born on O`ahu and raised on the islands of O`ahu, Maui and Kaua`i. He is a graduate of Kamehameha Schools and holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Hawai`i, where he majored in Economics and Political Science. Michael earned an Executive MBA from the UH Shidler College of Business in May 2015.
Prior to joining the Trust, Michael was a Vice President/Project Manager at Stanford Carr Development overseeing the development of residential projects on Maui. Previously, he was an Associate at PBR Hawaii & Associates where he focused on land planning, entitlements, and environmental compliance.
Michael is an officer and treasurer for the American Planning Association-Hawai`i Chapter and serves on the Urban Land Institute Young Leaders Executive Committee.
He and his wife reside in Honolulu. In his spare time, Michael enjoys traveling, eating, golfing, hiking, practicing yoga, and watching basketball.
