Who: 16 - 26 year olds with a High School Diploma, GED, or are in process of completing a High School Diploma or GED program.

Dates: June 5 – July 28, 2023 (Monday – Friday)

Time: 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Location: Lydia House, 205 S. Vineyard St, Honolulu, HI 96813

We are pleased to announce that we are accepting applications for the Hawai‘i Pacific Health (HPH) Nurse Aide Program, June 5 – July 28, held at Lydia House.

As part of an ongoing commitment to education and community involvement, HPH, Residential Youth Services and Empowerment (RYSE), and Liliʻuokalani Trust (LT) have partnered to offer HPH’s Nurse Aide Program to young adults not currently employed or enrolled in a training or education program who may benefit from the program for future employment. This program combines classroom learning and clinical lab training to enable students to learn the skills necessary to enter the healthcare field upon completion of the program and excel in a career as a Nurse Aide in the acute care setting.

·      Textbook and Classroom Supplies provided

·      Bus passes

What Is the Role of a Nurse Aide?

Nurse Aides play a key role in delivering the highest quality care to patients in their daily activities. This includes taking vital signs, helping patients ambulate, feeding and bathing patients, and helping patients understand their treatment plan.
