Julie Layugan Before Julie Layugan joined LT as an Accounts Payable Associate, she was a tax accountant in the public sector for 20 years, primarily servicing nonprofit organizations. She is excited to support her Finance Teammates at the Trust as they collectively strive to uphold the Queen’s legacy. “I’m grateful to be part of the LT ʻohana, and to be part of the Queen's mission in providing ‘opportunities for Hawaiian children to realize their greatest potential: living healthy, joyful, and prosperous lives, while contributing positively to their families, communities, and the world,’” she says. Julie is a CPA licensed in the state of Hawaiʻi. She has Master's and Bachelor's degrees in Accounting from the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa. Outside of the Trust, Julie enjoys spending quality time with her family. Experimenting with new recipes is her passion, as are feeding and taking care of her family. A fun fact about Julie: She and her husband are college sweethearts who are raising three children.
