LT Youth iHuddle 2018 2018-01-08 LT Youth iHuddle 2018Approximately 200 youth from across the state, and over 60 staff and partners were in attendance for LT’s first Youth iHuddle. LT worked with a number of community organizations to offer youth a conference-like experience like no other.Helping to make the day a success were the kamaliʻi from Kona who presented an oli aloha to open the day, followed by Kaleiola Hūʻeu who offered a mele inoa to Liliʻuokalani. ʻŌpio kāne from Waiʻanae and Wahiawā stood humbly and received lei to offer to the Queen - a beautiful and perfect opening to the day!Youth iHuddle emcees Pashyn and Wendy Santos helped to keep the energy flowing throughout the day. Wendy also opened the presentations by sharing her story of being in foster care and creating a successful life for herself once she aged out. David Roberts of Singularity University offered valuable insight to creating a happy life. TMI representatives facilitated a brainstorming activity around creating solutions to Hawaiʻi's ocean life issues. Rebel SoulJahz energized the space during lunch with a live concert for attendees.Simply, a day to remember! Youth left with minds inspired, hearts touched, and souls dancing!
