Arien "Ari" Dezafra

Arien Wahinekuponokaialohilohi Dezafra was born and raised on the west side of ʻOahu but calls Nānākuli home.

A recent graduate of Damien Memorial High School, she will be attending Hawaiʻi Pacific University this fall and majoring in business management. Arien's future career goal is to start her own non-profit organization that supports kūpuna within the community who suffer from post-natal depression, PTSD, and grief.

She was drawn to Nā Leo ʻO Kamakaʻeha (NLoK) through their vision of the Liliʻuokalani Center (LC). Arien is excited to be a part of something as remarkable as LC and truly believes that it will affect the lives of many kamaliʻi, especially those who don't have a place to call home. Arien's hopes for NLoK are that it will support the youth who don't have the ability to voice their opinions and needs to thrive in society. She hopes that this group of six individuals will be a firm foundation for many!
