Kona - E Holoholo Kākou - Fall Brreak

Kīpuka Kona

E Holoholo Kākou brings Kamalei into the waters of Keahuolū to learn lawaiʻa in a way that is rooted in safety, respect, and real cultural practice. This is a safe environment where caring adults and trusted mentors guide every step.

Kamalei learns how to read the ocean through kilo, explores different fishing methods, and understands how to move with intention in both shoreline and ocean spaces. Protected species, proper practices, and environmental awareness are part of every moment.

You will spend time near the kai, try new skills, meet new people, and work as a team while building confidence in the water and connection to the place.

Grounded in ʻike Hawaiʻi, this one-week experience builds kuleana, strengthens pilina to ʻāina and kai, and creates a sense of belonging that stays with you long after the program ends.
