Liliʻuokalani Center - Aukahi Ensemble - Summer

Liliʻuokalani Center

Aukahi Ensemble invites you into a creative journey through theatre, music, and dance, grounded in culture and shared storytelling. Designed for kamaliʻi ages 12–18, this program is a space to explore who you are, where you come from, and how your voice connects to others.

You’ll work together to bring a culture-rooted script to life, using movement, music, and performance to tell stories that honor heritage and identity. Along the way, you’ll build pilina with your peers, strengthen your confidence, and learn how collaboration turns individual voices into something powerful.

This program is about more than performing. It’s about listening, creating together, and carrying culture forward through expression. You’ll explore storytelling as a way to reflect on your experiences and celebrate the legacy you are part of.

Aukahi Ensemble comes together in a culminating performance, where you and your fellow performers take the stage to share stories of culture, voice, and community. It’s a moment to stand proud, be seen, and honor the journey you’ve taken together.

Whether you’re new to the stage or already love to perform, you belong here. Come ready to create, connect, and share your story with aloha.

*All are welcome to apply with preference given to Native Hawaiian kamaliʻi.
