This program for ʻōpio kāne ages 13–18 blends hands-on learning, mentorship, and cultural practices to help you build confidence, leadership, and identity.You’ll take part in activities like fishing, throw-net casting, canoe paddling, hula (dance), oli (chant), storytelling, and mālama ʻāina (caring for the land). These experiences teach discipline, patience, and teamwork while connecting you to Hawaiian values and traditions.Through group discussions and guidance from mentors, you’ll explore real-life challenges and choices, learning healthy ways to handle pressure and make decisions that reflect your kuleana (responsibility).Hoʻokanaka is more than a program, it’s a pathway to becoming a leader who uplifts ʻohana and community.
