Hoʻokanipila is your chance to begin learning ʻukulele and connect to Hawaiian culture through music. Spring Sessions are designed for beginners, giving you the foundation you need to play with confidence and joy.

You’ll start with the basics: how to hold and tune your ʻukulele, play foundation chords, strum with rhythm, and learn simple mele. Each lesson is hands-on and supportive, helping you build discipline and discover the fun of making music.

Beyond technique, you’ll explore the cultural significance of the ʻukulele as a cherished instrument of Hawaiʻi. Music becomes more than sound, it’s a way to express yourself, strengthen identity, and connect with others.
