Systems Map

Understand the System, Break the Cycle

By mapping and examining a systems map (here, we are concerned with cycles of Native Hawaiian Poverty), we can make better sense of what is going on, illuminate negative patterns and identify leverage points for creating positive change. The end goal: break the cycle of poverty and create a healthier system that will help our kamaliʻi to thrive. A more detailed explanation of a systems map is available here.

Systems Map

A systems map is a visual representation of a system that depicts the actors (or people involved), the core story, feedback loops, trends, and the relationships between them.
