Daniel Gracia

Daniel Gracia, a Youth Engagement Specialist at Lydia House, is excited and honored to serve at Liliʻuokalani Trust, where he contributes to Queen Liliʻuokalani’s legacy by supporting thriving Hawaiian children. He looks forward to building meaningful connections with the community and working toward creating impactful change.

Originally from Southern California, Daniel relocated to Hawaiʻi to study at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa, where he developed a deep passion for understanding and addressing the unique health and social challenges faced by Native Hawaiian and Indigenous communities.

Daniel earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, with a minor in Public Health, and a Certificate in Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies.

Through his academic and professional journey, he has cultivated a strong interest in the intersections of community and cultural psychology—focused on adverse childhood experiences, cultural and historical trauma, and resilience among Native Hawaiian and Indigenous populations, particularly through an intersectional feminist lens.

In his free time, Daniel enjoys hiking, swimming, reading, and photography, allowing him to connect with the natural beauty and cultural richness of Hawaiʻi. These activities also serve to balance his passion for research and community work with personal well-being.
