Ellise Morimoto

Ellise’s career has centered on non-profit public relations, marketing, community outreach, and fund development. Most recently, she was Director of Development and Marketing at the Boy Scouts of America, Aloha Council, serving Scouts in the Hawaii-Pacific region.

Prior to that, she was Director of Development and Public Relations for the foreign policy think tank Pacific Forum, which operated as the Honolulu-based arm of the Center for Strategic and International Studies.

Ellise loves words and writing, and is most comfortable being surrounded by books--lots of them. She invests a considerable amount of time serving as a thought partner for younger professionals, helping them to build roadmaps and make strategic choices regarding their careers.

Born and raised on Maui, she holds an M.A. in Political Science from the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa and a B.A. in International Business from the University of Puget Sound. She also spent a year studying at the University of Melbourne, Australia in the Faculty of Economics and Commerce. Ellise serves on the Board of Directors of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) Aloha Chapter and is the current Membership Chair.
