Kiana Kato

In her role as an Early Childhood Specialist, Kiana contributes to a highly skilled team at the Trust that delivers programs and services for families and their kamaliʻi ages 0-5. LT's Early Childhood initiative strengthens family bonds while guiding parents in their quest for work-life balance, financial stability, career pathways, and cultural identity.

Kiana holds a Master’s degree in Childhood and Adolescent Developmental Psychology from Southern New Hampshire University, complemented by a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa. 

Much of her career experience involves early childhood development and education, including Special Education and Early Intervention. Previously, Kiana was a Care Coordinator at Easter Seals Hawaiʻi Early Intervention. 

She is honored to be a part of the Queen's mission, supporting families as they navigate toward thriving. “Being able to contribute to the well-being, success, and prosperity of Hawaii’s kamaliʻi is such a rewarding opportunity for me and something that I am truly looking forward to,” Kiana says.

During her leisure time, Kiana enjoys spending quality time with her ʻohana at the beach, where she takes her daughter surfing and engages in “any type of outdoor exercise.” A self-proclaimed foodie, she indulges her passion for cooking by experimenting with global cuisines.
