Makai Keahoulu blue ocean and shoreline

Kimiko Wilson

“He lei poina ʻole ke keiki. A lei never forgotten is the beloved child.” ʻŌlelo Noʻeau no. 740

Creating nurturing and safe spaces for kamaliʻi to grow is a deeply cherished value in Kimiko's role at Liliʻuokalani Trust. She holds a strong belief in the inherent light within every keiki, beautifully articulated in Tales From The Night Rainbow by Pali Jae Lee and Koko Willis.

Kimiko understands that nurturing this light strengthens children, empowering them to achieve greatness.

Beyond her professional endeavors, Kimiko finds joy in spending time with her ʻohana, reading, and delving into the deeper meanings of the mahina and cycles of the natural world.

She delights in expanding her knowledge of moʻolelo, ʻike kūpuna, and Hawaiian traditions. Her connection to these cultural traditions enriches her life and deepens her understanding of how to support kamaliʻi and ʻohana in transition and the different seasons within their lives.
