Liane Filipo Liane Filipo joins LT as a Virtual Counseling and Centralized Screening Specialist, a position created in early 2024, and is “loving the adventure of a new program that is quickly taking shape.”After receiving a Master of Science in Counseling Psychology degree from Chaminade University, she worked for several years as a private school counselor and division advisor. She also served as a mental health therapist for nonprofit organizations in Hawaiʻi for over two decades. It was during her time in the nonprofit industry when she first partnered with LT. The program, “Resource Families,” eventually became “Grandparents Raising Grandchildren.”Liane‘s passion is her family. “My family, past and present, define who I am today,” she says. “Without their mana'o, support and aloha, I would not know the true meaning of ‘ohana.”Liane’s mantra, "ʻOhana Over Everything," reminds her to be a role model for her own kin, as she forges new journeys with her new LT ‘ohana.
