Melissa LeFever Melissa serves as the Vice President and Chief Operating Officer at Lili’uokalani Trust (LT). She oversees program operations, project management, strategic initiatives, risk and compliance, facilities management, and research and evaluation functions. Melissa’s focus is on optimizing LT’s resources and impact, while strengthening organizational alignment to best achieve the Strategic Vision.Melissa brings over 20 years of experience from academia, federal government, and the private sector where she led strategic initiatives, fostered international partnerships, and built scalable solutions that increased organizational resiliency and value delivery. Prior to joining LT, Melissa held multiple roles at Hawaiian Airlines in the Project Management Office and Human Resources. Under her leadership, Hawaiian earned multiple recognitions for project management and innovation.Melissa holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and International Relations from the College of William & Mary. She also has a Master of Engineering in Systems Engineering from the University of Virginia and Master of Arts in Technology Security from Georgetown University. Melissa has a passion for Agile ways of working and human-centered design and holds several certifications in project, product, and portfolio management.Raised in a military family with roots in Kaua’i, Melissa has a strong commitment to service and community in Hawai’i. Melissa enjoys volunteering, hiking, and spending time with family and friends. She resides in Kāneʻohe with her husband, son, and two dogs.
