Frances Paʻaluhi grew up in Nānākuli on the Leeward Coast of Oʻahu and graduated from Nānākuli High & Intermediate School.
Her family resides in Nānākuli; her mother's side of the family hails from both here on Oʻahu and from Hāʻena, Kauaʻi; her father's side of the family hails from Hāna, Maui as well as from Pauoa and Pālama on the island of Oʻahu.
Before working for the Queen as an Office Manager, Fran attended Leeward Community College. Under the Alu Like Program she worked four summers at the Queen Liliʻuokalani Children's Center in Waiʻanae and in 1994, she was hired as a fulltime employee at Kīpuka Waiʻanae.
Fran feels very much blessed to have a loving family to care for - her five siblings as well as being “Aunty Mama” to numerous nieces and nephews.
She is very thankful to Ke Akua, our Queen, her loving family and the many awesome friends she has come to know over the years.
The most significant value Fran tries to uphold is “lokomaikaʻi – being kind to others.”
The saying she tries to live by is “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.”
