Jera Pali

Jera values family, hard work, and education.

These values were instilled in Jera at a young age, as she is a product of parents who immigrated from the Philippines to Hawaiʻi, seeking better opportunities for her and her older sister. Jera’s parents settled in Wahiawa, Oʻahu, and worked various jobs before permanently working for Del Monte, one of two major pineapple companies in Hawaii at that time.

Jera pursued higher education and obtained her Bachelor of Science in Family Resources from the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa in 1998. She moved and married a Molokaʻi boy in 2004 and together they have two beautiful children (a boy and a girl). In 2013, Jera went back to school as a non-traditional student to attain her MSW through the Myron B. Thompson Distance Learning Program. While obtaining her MSW, under the right set of circumstances, she was accepted as a haumana with the Hawaiian Learning Program and could not have been more thrilled and grateful for the opportunity.

Jera is humbled and honored for this time to serve the Queen and help perpetuate her legacy.
