Shana Young

Shana grew up on Hawaiʻi Island, but spent most of her childhood in Pearl City on Oʻahu, climbing her grandparents' mango tree and jumping off the roof of their home (further raising their high blood pressure).

Today, Shana is an adrenaline junkie, who would love to skydive some day soon (and skip any water activities, as she’s not a strong swimmer).

She is the hiapo (first born) in her family and was often tasked with caring for her siblings, cousins, and neighborhood children during summer breaks, while the grown-ups were at work – which is probably why she loves children and has a nurturing spirit, and children naturally gravitate to her.

Shana loves snacking, dark chocolate, coffee, makeup, the scent of tuberose, doTerra oils, and naps.

Shana’s husband is an amazing cook and she is a real foodie.  They’ve been married since 1993 and have three children.

It has been Shana’s dream to work at Liliuokalani Trust.  After completing her Masters in Marriage and Family, on the last day of her master’s program, Shana’s dream came true. It’s a blessing to be among such amazing, intelligent, supportive, creative, loving, and humble people who truly love working for the Queen.
