Shar Manu-Olevao

In her role as a Youth Development Specialist, Shar Manu-Olevao designs and organizes programs for LT kamaliʻi and their ʻohana.

It was always her desire to work in an organization that allows her to support Hawaiian people. At LT, she is excited to contribute to the Queen’s vision to care for and ensure the wellbeing of the most vulnerable Native Hawaiian ʻōpio and their ʻohana.

Shar has a Bachelor of Science degree in Family Sciences from the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa and is a graduate of Punahou School. She also pursued a career in professional volleyball overseas for a few years, before returning and settling down in the Islands.

Whether she’s playing on a volleyball team or supporting her LT teammates, Shar’s mission is to grow, learn, and positively impact those around her.

In her free time, Shar likes to explore new foods and restaurants, hone her ʻukulele playing skills, and participate in a variety of sports.

“I look forward to the growth that I will see in myself, as well as for the keiki of Hawaiʻi,” she says.
